London Fashion Week AW13 – Day 5 (Closure)
The last journey (Day 5) of London Fashion Week AW13 has been bustling and exciting, full of movement, rain of trends and eclectic Streetstyle.
La última jornada (Día 5) de la Semana de la Moda de Londres OI13 ha sido bulliciosa y emocionante, llena de movimiento, lluvia de las tendencias y estilos de la calle eclécticos.
Exhibitions have shown us again the last trends for next autumn / winter season, offering a curated selection of well-known and raw brands.

As a conclusion, we may say that London Fashion Week AW13 has offered much more than everyone expected although the hard times society is living. Risky proposals have fight with the art of doing things well. New trends are following a minimal-rustic flow and essentially color palette is composed by black, white, blue, grey, ocres and reddish pigments.
Como conclusión, podemos decir que la Semana de la Moda de Londres OI13 ha ofrecido mucho más de lo que todo el mundo esperaba a pesar de que la sociedad está viviendo tiempos difíciles. Propuestas arriesgadas se enfrentan con el arte de hacer bien las cosas. Undoubtedly, at muymia we think today it has been the best day of London Fashion Week AW13. In the morning we have enjoyed a careful and risky Street style based on thousands of details in Somerset House.
Sin duda alguna, en muymia pensamos hoy ha sido el mejor de todos los días de la Semana de la Moda en Londres. Por la mañana hemos podido disfrutar de un cuidado y arriesgado ‘Estilo callejero’ a base de miles de detalles en Somerset House.
At 4 in the afternoon it has took place in Kensington Gardens one of the most relevants shows of London Fashion Week Fall / Winter 2013: the Burberry Prorsum catwalk show. Around 1,500 guests to the catwalk in Hyde Park Gardens, among which were the Director of Les Miserables Tom Hooper, actors and actresses like Kate Beckinsale, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Freida Pinto, Vicki Zhao, Melanie Laurent, Michelle Dockery, Gabriella Wilde, Alinne Moraes, Alice Braga, Olivia Palermo, Douglas Booth, Harry Treadaway, Joe Dempsie and Callan Turner. Musicians like Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah, Jake Bugg, Dan Gillespie-Sells, George Craig, Harley Viera-Newton, and Misty Miller Karaibrahimgil Nil and 2012 Olympic medalist Victoria Pendleton. On the catwalk some of the models were Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Liu Wen and Charlotte Wiggins.
Y a partir de a las 4 de la tarde ha tenido lugar en Kensignton Gardens uno de los desfiles más esperados de la Semana de la Moda en Londres Otoño / Invierno 2013: el desfile de Burberry Prorsum. Thanks to the current Creative Director of Burberry Christopher Bailey, today we have enjoyed an amazing spectacle with spectacular shapes and colors enlivened by a piano live performance by the musician Tom Odell. The color palette consisted of red tones, camel, burgundy, black, red and navy blue, ocher… Plus a perfect and bright white. We have seen garments spotted with animal print style made out of pieces of gold, coats and dresses in latex which potentiate the female figure; fitting dresses and garments with metal detailing on the collars, shirt and pant sets based on broad horizontal stripes of different colors; minor reminiscences of the Burberry flagship brand lines, coats, dresses and skirts made of fur with zebra style, combinations of knit and raw silk and of course… We have admired the fine art of making a good “trench ‘.
Gracias al actual director creativo de Burberry Christopher Bailey, hoy hemos podido disfrutar de un espectáculo asombroso y espectacular de formas y color amenizado por la actuación en directo y al piano del músico Tom Odell. La paleta de colores estaba compuesta por tonos rojo, camel, burgundy, negro, rojo y azul marino, ocres… A parte de un blanco perfecto y resplandeciente. Hemos visto prendas moteadas estilo animal print fabricadas a base de piezas de metal dorado; abrigos y vestidos en látex que potenciaban la figura femenina; vestidos ajustados al cuerpo y prendas con detalles metálicos en los cuellos; vestidos y conjuntos camisa-pantalón a base de anchas rayas horizontales de distintos colores; leves reminiscencias al juego de líneas insignia de la marca; abrigos, vestidos y faldas de pelo estilo cebra, combinaciones de tejidos de punto grueso con seda salvaje y sobre todo hemos podido comprobar el arte de hacer bien un ‘trench’.

London Fashion Week – Day 2
The second journey of London Fashion Week has not disappoint at all. After a cup of coffee at the Media Lounge and a The Body Shop make-up session, at 11:30 we enjoyed the -Merit Award Winner – Yifang Wan Autumn/Winter 2013 womenswear catwalk show at Freemansons Hall.
La segunda jornada de la Semana de la Moda de Londres no ha decepcionado en absoluto. Después de una taza de café en el Salón de prensa y una sesión de maquillaje en el stand de The Body Shop, a las 11:30 hemos podido disfrutar de el desfile de la – ganadora del concurso de nuevos diseñadores – Yifang Wan, Otoño / Invierno 2013 en el Freemansons Hall.
Reestablishing the notion that less really is more, Wan projected a consistent image of minimalism, an image that doesn’t take a lot to recall, but so much to conjure into being. She went on to further convey a fierce degree of wit by revealing a multitude of ways to wear gigantic silver spiked cuffs. The metal formation first appeared at the models wrist. Conventional, and yet the oversize design still had an alienating quality. It then jumped from wrist to neck, to waist, to shoulder and so on, with each model sporting their own unique design.
A partir del restablecimiento de la idea de que menos es más, Wan proyecta una imagen coherente del minimalismo, una imagen que no necesita mucho para hacernosla recordar, pero que evocar cuya existencia. Then Palmer Harding exposition where inspired by conflict, for Autumn / Winter 2013 Palmer play in a world od duality. Fluidity and structure, austerity and romance, dirty and clean – there opposites are captured through innovative cutting, considered detailing, new proportions and sumptuous embroidery and fabrics.

Style on and off the catwalk was sky-high and the buzz around Somerset House was tangible and contagious. We have seen risky outfits from head to toes and showrooms discovered us the next trends for next season.

And at pm Todd Lynn’s AW13 catwalk show opened with a blast of jungle drums, and a momentary burst of tropical sunset red.

London Fashion Week AW13 – Day 1
- Joë Jordan AW13 catwalk show
The first day of London Fashion Week AW13 has been enriching and exiting! The journey has started at 10am with Zoë Jordan catwalk show where we have seen her Autumn/Winter 2013, ‘Foundations’ collection.
Photographic prints of the interior of the Duomo in Rome, skyscarpers against bright city lights, and a ‘classical’ female satute evoke the presence of romantic and contemporary masterpieces. Reference to stark, minimalist, monochrome interiors enhance the elements of strong silhouettes with fine arts history. The collection’s color palette is predominately monochrome to showcase the opulent textures – luxurous Tuscan sheepskin, buttersoft nappa leather in shades of mercury and gunmetal, metallic woven jacquards, and heavy woolen cashmere knits. Vibrant bursts of color in Amber and Ultra Pink panels play against the black and white foundation.
Live streetstyle; MAC make-up session; Tony&Guy hair cut session, new brands showroom expositions with the next AW trends in cloths, accessories, bags, shoes and sunglasses, backstage, etc.
For Autumn7Winter 2013 Krystof strozyna has taken a journey under the sea, taking inspiration from the colors and textures of the creatures of the ocean. The main colors of the collection refer to those used by John William Waterhouse in his painting “The Siren” and include shades of green, grey, burgundy, and black. Also present are Krystof’s trademark prints, which are an abstract realization of the textures of aquatic life including sand, coral, and ship wrecks. In wool, silk and viscose, the collection of dresses and separates includes subte cuts and feminine silouettes which celebrate the female form and encourage womanliness in the wearer.
At 6:00pm Nian show us her fifth collection focused on futuristic shapes, flight bombers in wool, long coats, layering and textures games in black, white, grey and red.
And Aat 6:30pm Jale Hürdogan presented us her ‘Janucha’ last AW13 collection, consisting of two lines; evening wear and daywear. In her quest to find new creative forms the designer combines different textures with contrasting color combinations. The brand shows the designer’s signature style of contrast piping combined with color blocking. Silk, lace, satin and chiffons are used with satin gabardines and crepes. ‘Janucha’ gives little creative details to modern women who are stylish and adapt trends in their own ways.

El primer día de la Semana de la Moda de Londres AW13 ha sido enriquecedor y excitante!
La jornada ha empezado a las 10 de la mañana con el desfile de Zoë Jordan desfile donde hemos visto su colección Otoño / Invierno 2013, a la que ha llamado “fundamentos”. Las impresiones fotográficas del interior de la Catedral de Roma, los rascacielos contra luces brillantes de la ciudad, y un “clásico” toque femenino que evoca la presencia de obras maestras románticas y contemporáneas. Haciendo referencia a Stark, y utilizando interiores minimalistas y monocromas para acentuar los elementos de las siluetas de la historia de las bellas artes. La paleta de colores de la colección es predominantemente en blanco y negro para mostrar las texturas opulentas – lujosa piel de oveja toscano, un suave cuero nappa en tonos mercurio y bronce, tejidos jacquard metálicos y pesados sweaters de cachemir y lana. También vibrantes estallidos de color en ámbar y paneles ultra-rosa que jugaban contra la base en blanco y negro.
Además mucho streetstyle en vivo; sesión de maquillaje de la mano de MAC, Sesión de corte de pelo con Tony&Guy y exposiciones de showrooms de nuevas marcas con las tendencias que vienen para O/I13 en telas, accesorios, bolsos, zapatos y gafas de sol; momentos íntimos en el backtage y un largo etcétera.
Para Otoño/Invierno 2013 Krystof Strozyna ha viajado bajo el mar, inspirado en los colores y las texturas de las criaturas del océano. Los colores principales de la colección se refieren a los utilizados por John William Waterhouse en su pintura “La Sirena” y a parte de tonos verde, gris, burdeos y negro. En esta coleccíon también están presentes los estampados ‘marca de la casa’ de Krystof, que son una realización abstracta de las texturas de la vida acuática incluyendo arena, coral y barcos hundidos. Encontramos lana, seda y viscosa, una colección de vestidos y chaquetas con sutiles cortes y siluetas que celebran la forma de la mujer y fomentan la feminidad.
A las 6:00 de la tarde Nian nos ha mostrado su quinta colección centrada en las formas futuristas, chaquetas de vuelo en lana, abrigos, abrigos largos y juegos de texturas en negro, blanco, gris y rojo.
Y media hora después Jale Hürdogan ha presentado su última colección O/I13 a la que ha llamado ‘Janucha’, que consta de dos líneas: ropa de noche y prendas de día. En su búsqueda por encontrar nuevas formas creativas, ha combinado texturas diferentes con combinaciones de colores en contraste. Seda, encajes, satén y gasas se utilizan con gabardinas de satén y crepe. ‘Janucha’ ofrece pequeños detalles creativos para mujeres modernas y elegantes, que saben adaptar las tendencias a su estilo propio.

Scoop International Fashion Show 2013
Scoop International is once again at the Saatchi Gallery on the King’s Road, London. Located near Sloane Square station, the gallery is one of Europe’s most renowned venues dedicated to contemporary art. From 10-12 February 2013 the fifth edition of Scoop International will show more than 250 emerging and established labels, also curated around the exhibition ‘Gaiety’ focusing on Russian paintings and sculpture.
Alongside buying the most covetable collections for next season, visitors will be able to enjoy Scoop International’s not-to-be-missed exclusive events taking place within the gallery. The Scoop Café and bars will be serving themed and interesting menus for the February show.

London Collections: Men. (Closure)
London Collections: Men (LCM) day 3 has been exciting and instructive for many reasons but maybe because it was the last day today’s catwalk shows have been the best. Once again we have seen a mix of shapes, fabrics, trends and inspirations for men but specially the chinese designer Xander Zhou’s show at The Old Sorting Office (British Fashion Council Show Space) has been the best in my opinion because he has introduced new uses of the colors = sky blue and new concepts = German-oriental style with a good care of the textures and elaborated shapes.
“For me, fabric is the most interesting area of investigation in menswear, as well as the relation between fabric and the shape of the male body.” – Xander Zhou’s.
I also had the chance to meet very interesting fashion passionated people and to feel the vibe of London men’s fashion. A great experience on the LCM closure day!

El tercer día de la London Collections: Men (LCM) ha sido emocionante e instructivo por muchas razones, pero tal vez porque era el último día, los desfiles de hoy han sido los mejores. Como en los dos días anteriores hemos visto una mezcla de formas, tejidos, tendencias e inspiraciones para hombre, pero especialmente el desfile del diseñador chino Xander Zhou en The Old Sorting Office (el espacio de la British Fashion Council) ha sido el mejor en mi opinión, por introducir nuevos usos de los colores colores = azul cielo y nuevos conceptos = estilo Alemán-oriental con sumo cuidado de las texturas y elaboradas formas.
“Para mí, la tela es la parte más interesante de la investigación en la moda masculina, así como la relación entre la tela y la forma del cuerpo masculino” – Xander Zhou.
También he tenido la oportunidad de conocer a gente apasionada por la moda muy interesante, así como sentir la vibración de la moda masculina de Londres. ¡Una gran experiencia el día del cierre de la LCM!

(en) The Saatchi Gallery aims to provide an innovative forum for contemporary art, presenting work by largely unseen young artists or by international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK.
The audience for exhibitions of contemporary art has increased widely during the recent years as general awareness and interest in contemporary art has developed both in Britain and abroad.
When The Saatchi Gallery first opened over twenty five years ago it was only those who had a dedicated interest in contemporary art who sought out the gallery to see work by new artists. The audience, however, built steadily over the years and by the time the gallery left its second home at County Hall, visitor numbers reached 600,000 per annum, with over 1,000 schools organising student visits.
The Saatchi Gallery has worked with media sponsors on a number of shows including The Observer, The Sunday Times, Evening Standard, The Independent on Sunday and Time Out.
Many artists showing at The Saatchi Gallery are unknown when first exhibited, not only to the general public but also to the commercial art world. Many of these artists are subsequently offered shows by galleries and museums internationally. In this effect, the gallery also operates as a springboard for young artists to launch their careers.
Right now there are 5 different exposition available with free entry. And here’s a preview:

New challenges. Things are changing…
Dear Barcelona, I am leaving for a while. I need some fresh air to fill me up with new inputs, to look to the future and although I hate to admit it, to become independent. I’m moving to my second home, a place where opportunities constantly flow (if you go for it and you take advantage), a place where people speak my same language and a place where I can be 100% me without having to justify myself. Traveling is my biggest passion, I consider myself a traveller and although this is a trip I’ve always wanted to do, finally I have decided to do it. I am leaving with a big smile, strongly, with the indisputable support of my family and friends and with the intention to conquer the world. Some people trust me and they know I will make it (including myself). I will not let them down because I will fight until the end, I will enjoy every second and I will return to my city FULL of everything. See you in a month and a half (for now). Wherever I go I will say I am yours and you will always be the first and the only one.
Querida Barcelona, te dejo una temporada. Necesito coger aire, llenarme de inputs nuevos, mirar hacia el futuro y aunque me cueste admitirlo, espavilarme. Me voy a mi segundo hogar, un lugar donde fluyen las oportunidades (si sabes ir a buscarlas y aprovecharlas), donde se habla mi mismo idioma y donde puedo ser yo al 100% sin tener que justificarme. Viajar es mi mayor pasión, me considero una aventurera y aunque este es un viaje que siempre he querido hacer, me ha costado más de lo debido decidirme. Me voy con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja, con fuerza, con apoyo indiscutible de mi familia y de mi gente y con ganas de comerme el mundo. Hay quienes (y me incluyo) confían en mi, me valoran y saben que llegaré lejos. No voy a defraudarles porque voy a luchar, voy a disfrutar cada segundo y voy a volver a mi casa LLENA de todo. Nos vemos (por ahora) en un mes y medio. Allá donde vaya pregonaré que soy tuya, siempre serás la primera y la única.
Dinu Bodiciu
While completing his BA in Graphic Design in Romania, Dinu Bodiciu had the chance to attend a course in bookbinding. This was the point when he started to work very closely with fabrics and developed an interest in textiles, which is the driving force behind his designs. Dinu took his experience further with textiles in a collection of women bags launched in 2009. Encouraged by the positive feedback he received for this collection, Dinu decided to pursue a masters in design at London College of Fashion. He graduated in February, 2011 with a collection, inspired by the human posture and its reflection into the mirror. He amplified all the front details of the jacket (shoulders, colors, sleeves), leaving the back-part completely blank. He exaggerated the shapes as to create a flatness effect and play with perception. All the fabrics used, have an ‘organic’ nature, a bodily quality very close to skin colors. For him, garments are an extension of the body. Having this concept in mind, Dinu always creates designs that play with shapes and volumes, organic textures and visceral colours in order to enhance and modify our perception of the human body. Dinu’s designs are an attempt not only to rediscover the human body, but to redefine it.
Mientras completaba su licenciatura en Diseño Gráfico en Rumania, Dinu Bodiciu tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a un curso de encuadernación. Ese fue el momento en que empezó a trabajar muy de cerca con las telas y desarrolló un interés en el sector textil, que es la fuerza impulsora que está detrás de sus diseños. Dinu llevó su experiencia con los textiles más allá creando una colección de bolsos en 2009. Animado por los comentarios positivos que recibió por esta colección, Dinu decidió cursar el Master en diseño en el London College of Fashion. Se graduó en febrero de 2011 con una colección, inspirada en la postura humana y su reflejo en el espejo. Amplió todos los detalles de la chaqueta, (hombros, colores, mangas), dejando la parte trasera-parte completamente en blanco. Exageró las formas para crear un efecto plano y jugar con la percepción. Todos los tejidos que utiliza, tienen una naturaleza ‘orgánica’, una cualidad corporal muy cerca a los colores de piel. Para él, las prendas son una extensión del cuerpo. Teniendo este concepto en mente, Dinu siempre crea diseños que juegan con formas y volúmenes, texturas orgánicas y colores viscerales con el fin de mejorar y modificar nuestra percepción del cuerpo humano. En definitiva sus diseños son un intento no sólo de redescubrir el cuerpo humano, sino también de redefinirlo.

Next Spring / Summer 2013 will have a return to the origin, an explosion of colors, a self-service context combining every single kind of style we could imagine plus a giant foreign influence coming from abroad. I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspirational and trend analysis these last four days, because I really did.
Hoy os muestro el último panel de Inspiración y Tendencias de la próxima P/V 2013. Esta vez con el nombre ABROAD (extranjero), debido a la mezcla de culturas, influencias y distintos estilos de vida del mundo. La próxima primavera / verano 2013 tendrá un retorno al origen, una explosión de colores, un contexto de auto-servicio que combina cualquier tipo de estilo que podamos llegar a imaginar, más una enorme influencia extranjera proveniente del exterior.
