Oxfords for WOMEN (Part 2.)

Oxford: a style of laced shoe characterized by shoelace eyelet tabs that are stitched underneath the vamp, a construction method that is also sometimes referred to as “closed lacing”. Oxfords first appeared in Scotland and Ireland, where they are occasionally called Balmorals after the Queen’s castle in Scotland, Balmoral.

Oxford: estilo de zapato atado caracterizado por lengüetas de ojal que se cosen debajo de la pala, un método de construcción que es también referido a veces como “cordón cerrado”. Los Oxford, aparecieron por primera vez en Escocia e Irlanda, donde en ocasiones se les denomina Balmorales tras la construcción del castillo de la Reina en Escocia, Balmoral.
