Cafe50’s is one of the few authentic places left in Los Angeles who have stoically endured the pass of time and have been frequented by the bigest icons of the golden age of Hollywood. They have two locations: on 11623 Santa Monica Boulevard street and on 850 Vermont Avenue street and as soon as you find them you will notice that this is the right time and right place to be. Si te atreves a probar el mítico Red Velvet cake, pancakes con sirope de arce o eggs benedict (huevos benedictinos) con bacon; y acompañarlo de un cafe latte gigante, un pippermint milkshake (batido de menta) o una coca cola con helado de vainilla mientras imaginas que Elvis Presley o Marilyn Monroe se sentaban a desayunar exactamente donde ahora estás sentado tú… ¡Éste es tu lugar! Cafe50’s es uno de los pocos lugares auténticos que quedan en Los Ángeles que han aguantado estoicamente el paso del tiempo y que frecuentaban los grandes iconos durante la época dorada Hollywoodiense. Tienen dos locales que pasan desapercibidos en la gigantesca Santa Monica Bulevard street en el número 11623  y en el 850 de Vermont Avenue street, pero cuando los encuentres notarás que este es el lugar y el momento preciso donde debes estar. Men’s trends (preview) for S/S 2013

After a few days working on a trend research, today I’m going to discover you a (preview) of the next men’s trends for S/S 2013.

It is said… Originality is to go back to the origin, back to basics. Craftsmanship garments are back, mix&match combinations are the new statement and non-context’s outfits seem to be the next flow to follow. We know men are not obsessed in following trends as much as trends are obsessed in going after them… However, next spring / summer 2013 men will dress up with eco-consciousness, retro spirit, neo-vintage style, cozy look, all-day-denim, earth’s colors & worn fabrics. The island lifestyle and California+Miami’s clima will be around us mixed with a british touch and travelers will feel more identified than ever when they decide to go for their perfect items. And don’t forget about wooden obsession… Let’s see what happen!

S/S 2013 Men’s Trend Research by muymia

Después de unos días trabajando en una investigación de tendencias, hoy voy a descubriros un (previo) de lo que serán las tendencias para los hombres que para la próxima temporada P / V 2013.

Se dice… que la originalidad es volver al origen, volver a lo básico. Lo artesanal está de vuelta, la mezcla de combinaciones son la nueva declaración de intenciones y la descontextualización de las prendas en conjunto parecen ser el próximo flujo a seguir. Sabemos que los hombres no están obsesionados en seguir las tendencias, o al menos no tanto como las tendencias están obsesionados en ir tras ellos… Sin embargo, para la próxima temporada primavera / verano 2013 se intuye que los hombres se vistirán con eco-conciencia, espíritu retro, estilo neo-vintage, acabado acogedor, denim en todo tipo de prendas y accesorios, colores tierra y tejidos desgastados. El estilo de vida isleño y California+Miami estarán muy presentes mezclados con un toque británico y los viajeros se sentirán más identificados que nunca cuando decidan ir a por sus artículos perfectos. Y no te olvides de la obsesión por la madera. A ver qué pasa…
